The Position:

The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurse will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients to include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the care matrices and best practices in the home or alternate site setting. Primarily IVIG administration in a provider office. Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for providing direct patient care administering IVIG
• Appropriate patient education
• Completing comprehensive nursing assessments
• Establishing peripheral intravenous lines as well as accessing/maintaining central venous lines. (PICC lines, Implanted port, Midlines)
• Efficient and timely submission of clinical records
• Medication preparation and administration
• Triage infusion patient inquiries
• Excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills
• Provide clear communication and collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations
• Participates in performance improvement activities for the enhancement of care delivery offering suggestions and assistance towards the continuous quality improvement of patient care.
• Adheres to standards of safety and infection control, in the delivery of patient care
• Management of AIC required documentation
• Cleaning and disinfecting of all patient care areas in AIC
• Management of AIC supplies
• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of and complies with all policies and procedures related to the performance of job duties

Schedule:

• Part-Time, around 24 hours a week
• M-F hours 8a-5p as needed. Around 2-3 days per week
• No Weekends/Holidays

Requirements

• RN Degree, BSN Preferred
• Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience with background in infusion therapy
• Current nursing license for applicable home state
• Experience in ICU and/or Cardiac Care preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Valid state issued driver’s license with no significant restrictions on that license
