Smashin Crab is hiring for multiple restaurant management roles in San Antonio! Management is responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of front and/or back of house operations. This role ensures the highest quality of product and guest service, maintains compliance with health and safety standards, and upholds the overall concept of the restaurant. Smashin Crab leadership will lead and develop a team to achieve financial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management:
• Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant, making final decisions on matters of importance.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, and federal/state/local laws.
• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
• Maintain the restaurant’s professional image, including cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
• Conduct daily kitchen line checks to ensure food quality.

• Financial Management:
• Adhere to company standards to increase sales and minimize costs (food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs).
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties.
• Estimate food and beverage costs and manage efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies.
• Perform end-of-month inventory and track high-cost items.

• Guest Services:
• Ensure positive guest service in all areas, responding to complaints and turning dissatisfied guests into return guests.
• Maintain proper security procedures to protect employees, guests, and company assets.
• Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.

• Staff Management:
• Direct hiring, supervision, development, and when necessary, termination of employees.
• Conduct orientations and oversee training for new employees.
• Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, and conducting performance reviews.
• Generate work schedules and ensure the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
• Conduct staff meetings and employee orientations for both front and back of house employees.

• Community Involvement:
• Provide a strong presence in the local community and maintain high levels of community involvement.

• Compliance and Safety:
• Uphold all ServSafe guidelines and obtain ServSafe Food & TABC Alcohol Certification.
• Ensure adherence to sanitation guidelines as prescribed by state and city codes.
• Communicate repair and maintenance needs promptly.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage financial, operational, and administrative tasks efficiently.
• Commitment to providing high-quality guest service.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry.
• ServSafe Food & TABC Alcohol Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $72,107.00 - $80,536.00 per year
