Job Description & Key Responsibilities
Seeking to fill a developer role in Balbecs Alpharetta, GA office within its Risk & Analytics group. This location serves as global headquarters for all pricing and analytics functions and is overseen by a founding partner and CIO. In addition to a strong quantitative skillset and an ability to maintain / process / analyze large data sets, the candidate must possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills because this role requires communication with numerous groups within the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing underlying portfolio data generated externally or by various internal divisions of the company
- Enhancing Analytics/Risk reporting by automating manual processes and improving the accuracy of analyses
- Verifying/Validating/Improving financial model assumptions by analyzing performance of existing portfolio
- Assisting with automating and improving stress test
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study. Degrees in Computer Science, Electric Engineering, Mathematics, or similar fields are preferred; 0-1 years of experience
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of proficiency in Java/C#/Python
- Diligent error-checking and debugging habits
- Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage many projects and drive to completion
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management abilities as well as the ability to work independently
- Comfortable working with and analyzing large and complex data sets and the ability to distill and communicate findings
