Description

The Tony Hotel South Beach is seeking an experienced Front Desk Agent for our historic hotel in Miami Beach! 

The primary responsibilities as a Full-Time Front Desk Agent would include welcoming guests to the hotel and assisting them with all their needs and being prepared to answer any questions they may have about the hotel or neighborhood attractions. The ideal candidate must have a great attitude & interpersonal skills. Also, uphold professional working relationships with other team members and maintain composure while under stress.

Compensation: 

$16.00 an hour

Front Desk Agent Essential Functions:

  • Answer telephones in a friendly manner.
  • Check guests in and out and thoroughly complete all guest transactions.
  • Ensure accurate information is established.
  • Obtain or confirm room requirements.
  • Verify pre-registration.
  • Special requests are noted and fulfilled.
  • Proper credit is received. 
  • Obtain information and signatures.
  • Verify credit cards or obtain cash.
  • Follow set procedures on posting charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds. 
  • Use the available system to authorize credit cards and checks
  • Process personal and traveler’s checks, handle safe deposit boxes.
  • Rooms are assigned and door cards are issued. 
  • Directions to the room are provided.
  • Assist guests quickly, patiently, and with a friendly attitude
  • Promote and sell special hotel programs
  • Maintain work area neat and organized
  • Maintain keys in a secure area.
  • Assist other departments with the necessary information to fulfill guest needs.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • 1 year previous experience preferred.
  • Some college or college degree preferred.
  • Excellent phone etiquette, outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills to navigate Property Management System.
  • Must be flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meet minimum age requirements of jurisdiction
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
