Description
Support the accounting team.
Supervise the preparation of monthly property financial statements.
Supervise the calculation and recording of monthly depreciation.
Oversee maintenance of the fixed asset system.
Develop a working knowledge of our operating and capital budgets for each investment property.
Help prepare annual operating and capital budgets for each investment property.
Work directly with various banks and lending institutions on CBG treasury operations, loan payments, maintenance of bank accounts, etc.
Interact on accounting matters with our investment property investors regarding their financial questions and tax return information.
Become proficient user of Yardi.
Become a proficient user of Excel.
Develop a general knowledge of our lease agreements.
Track, analyze and report portfolio/property performance metrics.
Assistant Controller with exploring opportunities to improve CBG profitability.
Implement direct and complete special projects as assigned by Senior Management.
Requirements
Skills/Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in accounting is required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong working knowledge of financial data analytics.
- Yardi-Voyager real estate software or MRI software experience - Preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Dependability & good communication skills.
- Ability to handle change and work independently
- Accounting or Business Degree
