Job Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Counselor preferably with experience in addiction medicine to join our team!

Ascend Ministries is a parachurch organization, meaning we are supported by the church. Our mission is Christian in nature and we work closely with churches from a variety of denominations. Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions.
• Develop treatment plans and conduct reviews.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive treatment services.
• Document and maintain accurate records.
• Support the delivery of treatment programs and assist in client assessments.
• Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans.
• Provide support in group and individual counseling sessions under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical documentation and reporting requirements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Relevant experience working with addictions medicine
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with those they work with
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

-Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is preferred.

-A passion and appreciation for the Christian mission of the organization.

Preferred : Possession of a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification or equivalent.

OR full certification in addictions counseling or co-occurring counseling as recognized nationally.

OR a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in substance abuse treatment.

-Applicants will be accepted that re working towards CADC certification.

Job Type: Part-time
