Excellent position with a successful Tucson, AZ FAA / EASA / CAAC Certificated Repair Station for a person with a solid background in the specialized repair of turbine engine components by welding, grinding, and machining. Experience in process planning with conventional equipment such as ID/OD grinders, TIG welding, tracer lathes, mills, and Gleason curvic grinder required.

Role and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for overseeing all component repair operations - TIG Welding, Conventional Lathes/Mills, ID/OD Grinding, Jig Boring, Curvic Grinding, hand finishing and outside processes.

· Maintain accurate production scheduling to meet customer lead time and quality requirements.

• Responsible to develop and maintain operation labor standards.
• Manage profitability of all jobs by reviewing/analyzing actual versus standard cost. Implement continual improvement efforts as necessary.
• Responsible for keeping the work area, machines, and tooling clean & organized and monitor basic preventive maintenance of the equipment.
• Responsible to provide Sales with estimates of work order labor, material, and outside service costs for quoting purposes.
• Interpret all technical data, specifications, dimensions, and tolerances to determine most cost effective/efficient sequence of repair operations. Develop shop planning accordingly.
• Hire, train, develop, evaluate all staff as necessary and drive employee ownership of company results.
• Oversee and monitor all safety initiatives in the machining area.
• Attend daily production meetings and provide status updates on all work orders.
• Must be willing to work overtime, as required, and display a sense of urgency in responding to company and customer requirements.
• Responsible to work with engineering to develop and maintain repair processes in accordance with FAA approved data.

· Any other task requested and deemed necessary by members of the management

Skills and Experience Requirements:

• 5 plus years as a Machine Shop Manager in a turbine engine component repair environment with conventional equipment. CNC experience a plus.
• Previous work experience in a high volume fast paced environment is essential.
• Ability to multitask and motivate employees is essential.
• Excellent written and oral communication is required and the ability to execute initiatives to satisfy customer demands and exceed customer expectations is critical.
• Must have knowledge and experience with utilizing all types of precision measurement equipment.
• Excellent organization and analytical skills along with demonstrating a strong work ethic and superior technical abilities.
• Exceptional computer skills including MS Office, internet, and email. Experience with Solid Works and CNC programming a plus.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
