Power Chokes is looking for a QC Inspector to ensure quality requirements are met per customer, company, and industry standards.

Summary Description
The Quality Control Inspectors primary function is to ensure quality requirements are met per customer, company, and industry standards.

Role and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:

• Dimensional Inspection of machined parts.
• Verify identification marking is per requirements.
• Document nonconformance.
• Perform hardness testing per work instructions.
• Stamp marking requirements per work instructions.
• Perform Liquid Penetrant inspection per PC procedures.
• Assist QA with maintenance of quality records.
• Perform source inspection of machined parts.
• Stamping parts as needed.
• Assist engineering with dimensional inspection of R & D components.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Good visual acuity
• High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
• Proficient with inspection hand tools (Micrometers, depth mics, etc.)
• Knowledge of a mid-market ERP system (NetSuite experience strongly preferred)
• Proficient with Microsoft office products
• Good shop math skills

Preferred Skills

• Good work ethic, attendance, reliability and able to work under stress in a fast pace environment
• Read and write English, bi-lingual Spanish is a plus

Job Competencies

• Must be skilled with technical inspection tools.
• Must be knowledgeable of API requirements; Monogram marking requirements, PSL 3 requirements for chokes & valves
• Must be proficient with GageMaker, setting gauges, using thread profile software, setups on MicTrak
• Proficient with material searches, QC codes, vendor data, purchase requisitions, quality transactions
• Must have good shop math skills
• Level II certification for Liquid Penetrant Inspection (Cert Required)
• Levell II certification for Visual Inspection (Cert Required)
• Must be able to perform hardness checks with Brinell and Rockwell hardness testers.
• Good communication skills; fluent in Spanish is a plus
