Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Custodian. They will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in various areas of the clinics, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This role will require you to travel to our different facilities in San Diego using a company car.

Key Responsibilities
1. Clean and sanitize designated areas of the clinics, including waiting rooms, examination rooms, restrooms, and common areas, according to established protocols and schedules.
2. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or scrub floors as needed, ensuring surfaces are free from dirt, debris, and spills.
3. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners, disposing of waste according to clinic policies and procedures.
4. Dust and wipe down surfaces such as countertops, tables, chairs, and fixtures to maintain cleanliness and prevent the spread of germs.
5. Clean and disinfect medical equipment and supplies following infection control guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
6. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
7. Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling cleaning chemicals and performing tasks that may pose a risk of injury.
8. Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure cleaning activities do not disrupt patient care or operations.
9. Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures related to cleanliness, infection control, and safety.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid CA driver's license
- Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in healthcare facilities.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including safety procedures and cleaning protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, or carry heavy objects and equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
