Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment and receipt of goods. This is a vital role in our warehouse operations, ensuring that products are properly handled and distributed. Responsibilities: - Load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks - Operate order picker and RF scanner to accurately pick and pack orders - Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices - Inspect packages for damage or discrepancies - Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation - Utilize warehouse management system (AS400) to track inventory and update records - Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas - Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations - Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow Experience: - Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred - Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is a plus - Proficient in using basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating quantities - Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers - Experience with RF scanners for inventory tracking is desirable Skills: - Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipping and receiving processes - Excellent organizational skills to maintain inventory control - Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career growth within our organization.
