Position Type: Full - Time

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for programming shop floor automation. This includes navigating robot with the Teach Pendant, moving the robot, and updating the logic of the motion required for robot processing.

· Strong computer skills

· Knowledge of electronics – wiring basics, low voltage sensors, types of sensors, etc.

· Troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics.

· Install, program, or repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, or conveyors.

· Maintain service records of robotic equipment or automated production systems.

· Modify computer-controlled robot movements.

· Willing to work off or odd shifts, including some holidays.

· Some travel will be required.

· Willing to learn supporting systems for robot applications, for example spray equipment, such as guns, pumps, etc.

· Must be willing to work on the production floor.

· Train end users on automation processes.

· Experience with CNC operations and programming highly preferred.

· Knowledge of CAD or similar applications highly preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

2 - 3 years or more experience in maintenance or mechanical engineering a must.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Experience troubleshooting and repairing spray and material handling robots, preferably Fanuc.

PLC experience, including some PLC programming, a plus.
