Engine Parts Specialist at Southwestern International Trucks, Inc.

Answer customer’s phone calls and fill order from stock parts. Help customers on parts counter. Search databases for the correct parts. Advise customers on substitution or modification of a part when replacement is not available. Advise customers of any quality improvement or service bulletin on part replacement. Call vendors to determine availability and price of parts not in stock. Examine returned part or core to determine if defective and exchange part for refund. Stock parts according to part number sequence. Assist warehouse personnel in identifying and finding parts. Use precision measuring instruments to determine whether similar parts may be machined down or built up to required size. Clean parts shelves to prepare for physical inventory. Use calculator, and computer keyboard. Do periodical bin checks.

Requires: Highschool degree or foreign equivalent and 2 years experience working with diesel engines, calipers, tape measurers, hose counters, scales, reading engineering schematics, and taking payments via cash and point of sale credit card system. Salary from $47,200 to $92,700 annually, depending on qualifications, plus employee benefit plan.
