Scrub Tech needed for our ambulatory surgery center for orthopaedic procedures. Typical schedule is 32-40 hours per week (full-time with benefits), start time is usually 7:00 am with occasional earlier starts, with one late night per week. No weekends, no holidays and no call!SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists the surgical team in the sterile field through passing instruments.Performs key functions during surgical procedures as assigned.Maintains availability for room turnover and set up of surgical cases.Maintains compliance with OSHA standards for healthcare facilities.Participate in educational opportunities for professional growth and development.Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the center.Punctual attendance at department staff meetings, facility inservices and scheduled shifts.Personally adhere to the standards, rules, and procedures of the KOC Compliance and HIPAA Programs and contribute to ensuring the organizational commitment to compliance and HIPAA regulations.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of accredited school of Surgical TechnologySurgical Technology certification or eligibility to sit for exam1 year scrub experience preferred, previous orthopaedic scrub experience helpful - open to new graduates as well!Excellent communication skills
