As our Accounting Specialist, you play a crucial role in this mission. Your task? To ensure that our policy contract changes are administered correctly and communicated accurately to our agents, policyholders, and internal stakeholders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply strong analytical, organizational, technical, and problem-solving skills on a daily basis
  • Ability to understand accounting functions and complete procedures accordingly
  • Review all Policyholder Services Suspense reports daily to verify and process any premium payments that did not match CRM premium
  • Process refunds
  • Assist Accounting Department with chargebacks for credit card payments, reversing incorrect credit card payments
  • Request stop payment on, and reissue stale dated or returned checks
  • Monitor and provide maintenance for re-occurring monthly checks
  • Monthly reconciling of various reports provided by accounting.
  • Complete audits for premium history, loan history and annuity history.
  • Receives and reviews forms for loans, surrenders, annuity withdrawals, and unearned premium refunds
  • Complete calculations of policies placed on Extended Term
  • Complete calculations for policies placed on reduced paid up
  • Assist Team Lead/Manager in research requests
  • Recommend procedural changes to improve processing.
  • Complete various year end activities and reporting
  • Other essential functions and duties as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A tech-savvy individual with proficiency in MS Office
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills

  • A commitment to excellence
