Janitor

Objective:

• Beverage center morning setup. Refilling as necessary throughout the day.
• Setup/refill condiments.
• Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas and hallways of the building, which, depending on the area involved, includes any of the following: dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, sanitizing, dusting, polishing, checking paper towel/soap dispensers, refilling paper towel/soap dispensers, trash removal, trash liner changes, recycling processes.
• Cleans restrooms, hand cleaning stations and breakroom.
• Cleans windows.
• Cleans refrigerators, microwaves, and popcorn machines.
• Wipes down vending machines.
• Dust, polishes, vacuums main entry, offices, cubicle areas and conference room.
• Shred paper considered confidential.
• Maintains a neat and orderly janitors’ room; ensures cleaning supplies are stocked.
• Assists in examining facility for safety hazards; reports deficiencies to lead janitor/custodian, safety team and/or EH&S Coordinator.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to keep the facility and property clean and orderly.
• Ability to interact with co-workers and visitors while remaining professional, polite, and courteous.
• Ability to operate an Auto Scrubber (Floor Zamboni) machine.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must pass Drug Screen.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
