Essential Functions
- Provide a grade-appropriate instructional program for students that adheres to the school's philosophy, goals, and objectives.
- Maintains an attractive, organized, and engaging learning environment
- Develop lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocese of Baltimore and State of MD Standards
- Maintains accurate and complete records of student's progress and development
- Provides regular and consistent communication with parents, students, staff, and administration
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students, their families, and other employees outside the school
- Perform assigned duties when needed for the supervision of students before, during, or after school
- Participates in faculty meetings, school committees, and in-service learning opportunities
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teaching of the Catholic Church
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times, and for classroom management using PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) protocols
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and administration
- Attend school events including Back to School Nights, Open Houses, Parent/Teacher conference days, and other events as requested by the administration
- Bachelor's degree and current MSDE certification or willing to obtain
- Successful experience in student teaching or classroom teaching
- Basic understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals, and objectives
- Must be proficient in using a variety of technology during daily lessons as well as enriching and differentiating instruction
