Little Engineering Sales & Services is Hiring a Warehouse & Inventory Control Associate Near Norwood, MA

Maintain an organized and up-to-date warehousing location and drive warehouse-related operations, from refurbishment & receiving new inventory, thru order staging & delivery of purchases ready for customers. Desired Outcomes

  • A safe, clean and perfectly organized warehouse/storage location in Norwood, MA
  • Systems and records reflect 100% correct real-time view of what’s available, in transit, on order and/or part of Service Technician “field stock” by regularly completing cycle counts
  • Ensure that all deliveries received meet expectations of completeness and condition by:
  • Receiving, unpacking and confirming packing slip matches PO
  • Flagging any discrepancies between packing slip and PO for all deliveries
  • Noting any damage or defects visible at time of receipt
  • Keeping Supervisor up-to-date on receipts on a daily and weekly basis
  • Cleaning packing materials and breaking down boxes and/or pallets once unpacked
  • Ensure smooth staging, packaging, loading and delivery of outbound parts by:
  • Preparing and assembling all shipping materials, including custom pallets, needed to wrap and secure parts and/or boxes for transport
  • Ensuring copy of Operations and Maintenance manuals (O&M) and drawing and/or any additional paperwork and/or manuals are included with shipment
  • Preparing outbound UPS deliveries as necessary to ensure items are shipped reliably.
  • Preparing outbound motor freight deliveries as necessary to ensure items are shipped reliably
  • Assisting with loading for 3rd party logistics pick-ups
  • Loading and driving when not using 3rd party transport provider
  • Work with After Market Service Engineering team to facilitate smooth pick-up and return of equipment in the field to Norwood, MA by:
  • Planning routes and timing of pick-ups
  • Contacting on-site POC and ensuring is accessible and ready to be picked-up
  • Maintaining a professional disposition and appearance while at customer site
  • Loading returns into vehicle
  • Unloading returns in Warehouse
  • Completing paperwork needed for collected returns
  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience in a warehouse or distribution center a plus
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred

Requirements:

  • Work Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm, could be Part-Time
  • Maintain a positive, cooperative and teachable attitude
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work and perform multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain clear and cooperative working relationships with co-workers
  • Analytical ability including basic math skills.
  • Excellent communication skills including speaking, reading, and writing in the English language with the ability to converse verbally with others on the phone and/or in person.
  • Ability to navigate websites and able to see, review, and interpret computer images and written documents
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Windows as well as a general background working with computers and office equipment
  • Ability to operate power tools correctly and in a safe manner.
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication and customer services skills, with a professional demeanor and positive, caring attitude
  • Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter with a strong attention to detail
  • Must have outstanding customer service skills with the ability to interpret customer needs and demonstrate a customer service mindset when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening
  • Ability to pass MVR check. Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record

Equipment used includes:

  • Desktop computer and mouse/tablet.
  • Telephone, cellphone, printers and scanners.
  • Forklift and motorized pallet jack.
  • Motor vehicles, such as vans and trucks
