Senior Estimator

One of the leading Heavy Civil Contractors in New York is looking for a Lead Estimator to join their team on a full time basis in New York City.
About the Company

Revenues in excess of $550m per year, contracts with major clients in the public and private sector with projects ranging from railroads, bridges, concrete foundations ranging up to $100m in value.
Responsibilities

• Oversight of final estimating packages, ensuring for accuracy before quoting
• Contract negotiations, change orders
• Provide mentorship to Estimators and Junior Estimators
• Pre-qualification of subcontractors
• Material take-offs
• Budgeting, oversight of operating budgets, performance reviews

Experience Required

• At least 5 years of experience working as an Estimator
• Must have prior experience working for a contractor or General Contractor involved in the Heavy Civil sector
• Experience in public works projects
• Competency in HCSS heavy bid is preferred
• Excellent knowledge of construction contracts
• Strong knowledge of estimating strategies
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral

This is a full time position. Compensation ranges from $150,000-$200,000 per year.
