Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for direct sales to new and existing customers for reoccurring contracts and relationship and business development activities with potential and existing major accounts for recurring contracts and/or expanded service opportunities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes on an annual business development and Sales plan in support of organizational objectives.

  • Works closely with sales and operations leadership and team members to ensure quality and accuracy of aligning initial customer needs with execution of service.

  • Actively pursues business development opportunities in strategic vertical markets through targeted calling efforts, group presentations, and participation in budgeted industry association conferences.

  • Prepares, oversees, and coordinates the timely preparation and delivery of proposals ensuring uniform compliance with Company policy, procedure, and financial objectives.

  • Documents and updates all account activities, tasks and opportunities in Salesforce database according to company standards and requirements. 

  • Handles interactions and transactions in a way that positively spreads the Company’s reputation.

  • Expected to keep all commitments to the business and work until all obligations are met.

  • Continuously adheres to all Company standards and procedures.

  • Works safely by using good judgment and following all Company safety policies and work procedures with authority to stop unsafe acts.

  • Expected to achieve sales goals and/or lead generation as set by VP of Sales 

  • Performs other related duties as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Must exhibit characteristics consistent with encouraging Team concept.

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.

  • Must provide quality customer service.

  • Must possess a practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards.

  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work effectively both independently and/or as part of a team. 

  • Must possess excellent organizational skills.

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

  • Must be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and to effectively prioritize time and activities.

  • Must interact well with all levels of individuals, internally and externally. 

  • Must maintain a positive and professional demeanor.

  • Must possess the ability to handle change, resolve conflict, and solve problems as they arise with minimal direction.

  • Must possess excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office Professional programs and estimating program in Excel.

  • Must maintain confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) years of experience in fire protection systems (including inspection, testing, and/or sales).

  • Minimum Level II NICET certification in desired field required (or the ability to obtain Level II within the first year of employment in position)

  • Post-secondary degree preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to complete frequent overnight travel.

  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to use a mobile device, telephone, computer, and other standard office equipment.
