Perform independent research with Dr. Susan Murray in the Biology department (Swindells 237) to investigate the role of sex hormones on human T cell function. Students will work 29 hours per week for 13 weeks with a flexible weekly schedule. Students will be evaluated based on participation in lab meetings, journal clubs, and the ability to critically and thoughtfully analyze and communicate data.
Core Duties
* Perform sterile tissue culture
* Maintain compliance with IBC regulations, including taking biosafety and blood borne pathogens training
* Read and discuss primary literature articles in the field of immunology
* Maintain accurate lab notes, analyze data, and write up results for presentation
* Other relevant duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
* Upper division lecture and laboratory course in Immunology or genetics, or previous immunology research experience
* Biology major
