Job description

Substance abuse treatment facility in the easy valley is seeking a full time Intake Coordinator.

General Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Field intake calls according to schedule

· Provide required documentation of intake calls, referral tracking and preadmission paperwork

· Document all follow up efforts

· Check, documents and explain insurance benefit and eligibility information

· Discuss financial arrangements with potential admissions and responsible financial parties

· Represent programs with professionalism and enthusiasm

· Assist in marketing efforts as requested

· Provide intake data to CEO on request

· Consult with relevant personnel (i.e. CEO, Clinical Director and Operations Director) as appropriate regarding potential admissions and the details of such

· Assist CEO when requested with billing resolution

· Assist with Utilization Review (“UR”) responsibilities as requested

· Maintain and build relationships with referral sources

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

· Relevant supervisory, clinical, UR, quality improvement, addiction treatment and marketing experience required

· Proficiency in customer service, technology interface, knowledge of healthcare documentation, community resources, risk management issues and differential diagnoses a must

· Written and spoken Fluency in English
