Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual with a military background with access to military facilities to join our team as an DoD/Federal Industrial Sales Representative. An ideal candidate is either retired DoD, Reserve, Natural Guard or a disabled Veteran with base access. This position presents an exciting opportunity to utilize your military expertise and in a dynamic, industrial sales environment. The top candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proven track record in sales, and the ability to leverage their access to DoD facilities, restricted markets, and clients.

What You'll Do

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with industrial clients, including manufacturing facilities, defense contractors, and government agencies, utilizing your military clearance to access restricted information and facilities.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial sector, leveraging your military contacts and networks to expand our client base.
  • Conduct compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations, highlighting the advantages of our industrial solutions and services to potential clients.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that address the specific needs and challenges of our clients.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive proposals, contracts, and pricing agreements in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to identify potential opportunities and threats within the industry.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, forecasts, and achievements to management.
  • Travel to client sites as necessary to conduct meetings, assessments, and follow-up visits, leveraging your clearance for access where required.

What You’ll bring:

  • Military background with active base access, coupled with experience in relevant fields such as logistics, supply chain, or operations.
  • Proven track record of success in sales or business development roles, preferably within the industrial sector.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and trust with clients.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, with a focus on achieving collective goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Sugar, HubSpot).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
