Job Title: Part-Time Weekend Activities Assistant
Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Weekend Activities Assistant. The role involves assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of weekend activities and events for our assisted living community. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with senior, organizing events, and creating memorable experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and organization of weekend activities and events.
- Work closely with the Activities Coordinator to develop activity schedules and themes.
- Set up and prepare activity areas, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are available.
- Welcome residents and ensure they understand the activities and any safety guidelines.
- Engage with residents during activities, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
- Encourage participation and create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all residents.
- Assist in the evaluation of activities and gather feedback from participants.
- Help maintain inventory of activity supplies and materials, and assist with replenishment as needed.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education or training in recreation, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Flexible schedule, with availability to work weekends and occasional holidays.
- Physical ability to set up and participate in various activities.
