POSITION SUMMARY

As a termite technician, you get to do all the same detective work as a residential or commercial technician, but with a specialty in wood destroying organisms such as termites. This job is especially crucial considering the extensive damage termites cause to homes and other structures. Proper termite control is essential in keeping homes and businesses protected from structural damage and you would be on the front lines of finding and fixing these issues.

Responsible for servicing the Northeast Georgia area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIEs

• Complete bait installations and liquid termite treatments
• Monthly/quarterly bait monitoring and removal
• Quality control follow up.
• Examine building, including exterior and any crawlspaces, to determine any potential infested areas.
• Use of hand tools, power tools i.e.: electric drills, pneumatic hammers, saws, and chisels
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

• Diploma or GED achieved.
• Must have a valid driver license.
• Professional, pleasant, and respectful demeanor
• Strong sense of urgency to serve customers and maintain facility standards.
• Experience perferred

As a Termite technician, you would have to work in many diverse types of environments – a typical day can take you both inside and outside people’s homes, inside storage facilities, restaurants and everywhere in between. You will be required to inspect, crawl and work in sub-areas, basements, and attics of structures. Ability to communicate effectively with customers about what their pest problem is and how you will solve it. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.

Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations and interactions with customers, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.

Use and maintain safety equipment. Work with and around pest control products approved for use by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to control pests and follow labels appropriately. Operate company vehicles, power sprayers, foggers, dusters, drills, vacuums, and a variety of common hand and power tools and other equipment. Perform minor repairs on tools and related equipment as needed.
