Orange City School District is Hiring an Adaptive Recreation Coordinator Near Cleveland, OH
Orange Community Education and Recreation provides outstanding recreation and discovery opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. The department offers programming in arts, theatre, sports, preschool discovery, youth camps, before/after school activities as well as adaptive recreation, adult recreation, senior adult recreation and aquatics. The department is currently seeking a full-time Adaptive Recreation Coordinator to work at our Pepper Pike Learning Center office on the campus of Orange School District. The of Adaptive Recreation Coordinator is a key member of the department and reports to the Director of Community Education & Recreation. The Coordinator assists in the creation, development, supervision, implementation, and evaluation of adaptive and inclusive recreation programs for youth and adults. The Coordinator follows and supports policies, procedures, operational guidelines, and department culture, and is instrumental in helping to accomplish the progressive mission of the department. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills and be outcome and solutions- oriented. A minimum of 2 - 3 years progressively responsible experience in the development, supervision, and evaluation of adaptive recreation activities, programs, and services, is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Education, Recreation, or Recreation Therapy is preferred. A State of Ohio Intervention Specialist and/or Paraprofessional License is a plus.
