F W Walton Inc is Hiring an Estimator Near Houston, TX

We are looking for an Estimator to come join our team!

They will estimate and propose projects of a commercial and industrial roofing and waterproofing company.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

· Prepare estimates and quotations through the use of FW Walton computer systems and programs.

· Work closely with the sales force to provide them with accurate information for the creation of customer proposals.

· Review architectural and structural plans prior to bidding.

· Review specifications prior to bidding, study drawings and understand project scope.

· Communicate with Project Managers, Contractors, Owners and other members of the management team.

· Contact manufacturers and submit request for material pricing; ensure best pricing.

· Schedule time effectively to meet due dates established by Sales.

· Handle plan revisions and price revisions.

· Attend pre and post-construction meetings.

· Attend weekly operational status meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· Able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates.

· Strong understanding of waterproofing, commercial and industrial roofing construction.

· Proficiency with MS Office 365 and all its programs.

· Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.

· Organizational, analytical, impeccable problem solving and people skills.

· Knowledge of Auto Cad a plus.

· Proficiency interpreting blueprints and reading construction plans.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· 3 years of experience in industrial roofing estimates preferred but not required.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· A valid driver’s license in good standing is required.

· General construction, roofing, waterproofing and/or sales experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,360.33 - $57,036.09 per year
