EBD certification preferred.Special education teachers work with students who have challenges in learning cognitively and/or are challenged by emotional or physical disabilities. They adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students with mild to moderate disabilities. They also teach basic skills to students with severe disabilities. They assess student's skills and learning requirements and design Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) / Collaborate with parents and school staff to track students' progress.
