Our Client is looking for a Project Manager of Construction. You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of construction projects from conception to completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that timelines are met and milestones achieved.
- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, budget allocation, and cost control measures.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate project status updates, issues, and changes to stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Manage procurement activities, including sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and issuing purchase orders.
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction as needed.
- Resolve conflicts and disputes that may arise during the course of the project.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds specifications.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to optimize project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in construction management or other related fields
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Strong leadership qualities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
