Job Title: Operations Research Analyst (Sr) SME-3722 Job Location: Los Angeles AFB Job Summary: Member provides strategic insight support to SSC/BZ Strategic Cell. This position has a deep understanding of the business practices of not only SSC, but the Space Industry as well, to include operations, mission partners, mission directives, areas of expertise and responsibility. This person, using that knowledge helps SSC/BZ Strategic Cell shape its mission, vision, priorities, goals, execution plans, schedule, as well as interacts with subordinate and supporting organizations within and external to SSC. Member must be present in LAAFB and be program clearable. Day to day duties is to be performed in the office and minimal telework is permitted. Education / Certifications * Master's degree preferred strategic planning or business operations. * Bachelor's degree preferred engineering Skills / Experience Required * 20 years (Large Space Program Acquisition / Systems Engineering / Operations) * 15 years of experience with National Security Space ground, space, and/or launch systems * Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate with senior level officials inside USSF. * Ability to effectively work as a member of larger dynamic teams * Must be willing to work inside USG facilities Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense (DoD) active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information. Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may include lifting thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.
