The Diet Aide is responsible for the preparation and service of cold food for the patients and cafeteria. He/She assembles patient trays in accordance with diet order; picks up p.m. diet changes, processes menus and maintains updated cardex in conjunction with PNA’s. This position has the responsibility for interacting with the following age groups: pediatric, adolescent through geriatric. The Diet Aide is exposed to extremes in temperature, from walk-in freezers to hot electrical equipment. He/She works with sharp objects (i.e. Knives) and hazardous cleaning agents.
