Reports to Administration Director

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. You will work closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and cost savings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on sourcing strategies
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise
- Analyze data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information, create purchase orders a must!!
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and best practices in procurement

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supply chain management
- Proficient in using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems for production planning
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records
- Experience in sourcing materials or components from global suppliers is a plus
