Job Summary:
This role is focused within our General and Vascular Ultrasound practices, excluding Obstetric and Breast Ultrasound areas. The position involves autonomously performing complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures for patients of all ages, under the supervision of qualified physicians. This is essential for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Diagnostic sonographers are proactive in verifying imaging orders for completeness and accuracy, reviewing patient history, and ensuring medical necessity is documented. They are responsible for contacting the ordering physician if provided reasons for tests are inadequate. Utilizing advanced knowledge, sonographers perform diagnostic procedures in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, portable, and operating room examinations. They produce, assess, evaluate ultrasound images and related data, exercising independent judgment in the interpretation and analysis of exams, and providing preliminary diagnoses of technical findings to physicians.

Qualifications:

• Must hold an Associate's degree in a related field and be a graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program.
• ARDMS registration or registry eligibility in abdomen, obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN), and vascular technology (RVT) is required.

Schedule:

• The position primarily involves Monday-Friday day shifts, with up to 50% consisting of 10-hour shifts.
• Includes limited on-call responsibilities, holiday, and off-hour shifts.
• This is a hospital-based role requiring availability for holiday and on-call duties.

Pay: $35.20 - $51.78 per hour
