Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH) is seeking an OBT Project Coordinator to support our ministry by assisting the OBT Department in a special project involving the implementation of an oral Bible translation software called Render. As the OBT Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of OBT projects with Bible translation partner organizations and various departments within FCBH. Your role will ensure that projects are properly identified, set up, and implemented, ultimately leading to the successful distribution of audio files. This position will concentrate on Oral Bible Translation work in South Asia. This position reports to and is located in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office.

Responsibilities include:

OBT Project Coordination:

• Coordinate OBT projects at the direction of the OBT Director.
• Work with FCBH staff and partners to identify, prioritize, schedule and execute OBT projects.
• Coordinate all needs for active and upcoming OBT project setup, ensuring items on project checklist are completed in a timely manner.
• Work with FCBH staff and partners in obtaining necessary permissions for using recordings as sources and in obtaining necessary permissions for recording sources when no recording exists for desired sources.
• Coordinate the recording of sources, working with appropriate FCBH departments and personnel as needed.
• Coordinate with various staff in fulfilling FCBH commitment to partners regarding editing of audio files, providing technical support and distributing final recordings.
• Maintain healthy relationships with partners.
• Serve as a liaison between partners when necessary for the sake of OBT project coordination.
• Organize setup and technical support to partners at all stages of a project, helping troubleshoot issues and, when necessary, connecting them with the appropriate departments/personnel for resolving challenges. Work to provide creative solutions to problems.
• Assist the OBT Director in the development of a streamlined project coordination process.
• Travel as required for meetings with field partners and for on the job training.

Documentation and Communication:

• Create and maintain accurate and thorough documentation regarding OBT projects.
• Maintain LPTS database with OBT information for ministry use in cooperation with the Global Intellectual Property Coordinator.

• Obtain, produce and provide relevant field reports for FCBH’s Marketing & Communication Department and Donor Engagement Department.

Other:

• Assist Render Product Owner in Render software testing as needed.
• Conduct Render software demonstrations internally and to visitors and partners as needed.
• Communicate with appropriate parties, both within and outside of FCBH, as necessary for the carrying out of duties.
• Assist in new employee training by informing on aspects related to role.
• Attend meetings with visiting partners as appropriate.
• Participate in relevant ongoing professional development.
• Provide hospitality according to the standards established by FCBH, as needed.
