WHO YOU ARE:

You enjoy performing general accounting tasks including GL recons, bank recons, and reviewing revenue auditor reports. The Accounting Manager ensures the financial accuracy of the business by maintaining journals and ledgers of the MIB accounting system; reviewing various accounting documents; preparing reports and providing information to the General Manager through the CFO. The Accounting Manager writes and ensures compliance with MIB policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Internal Controls, and Tribal Gaming Regulations. You will also forecast and budget expenditures for the Accounting Department and need to be skilled in managing a department of Accounting and Financial professionals.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting team including hiring, training, career development; planning, assigning, and reviewing work performance; preparing work schedules and approving department payroll, maintaining employee department files; addressing complaints and resolving issues from department employees.
• Responsible for the Accounting Department budget.
• Responsible for an efficient and organized electronic and paper filing system.
• May review daily sales journals for accuracy and input into the computer.
• Reviews and posts payroll journal entries to the general ledger.
• Reviews payroll processing in the absence of the CFO.
• Reviews depository, payroll and operational bank accounts; general ledger entries and adjustments for month-end.
• Reviews 401(A), 401(K) and 401(L) contributions.
• Review invoices and input into the computer system for payment.
• Prepare journal entries, balance accounts, and may create monthly financial statements and distribute to Muckleshoot Tribe through CFO.
• Coordinate monthly inventory process with departments.
• Prepare/assist in system documentation and formalization of accounting policies and procedures and maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• BA or BS in accounting or finance required.
• Five (5) years of experience in Accounting required.
• One (1) year of supervisory/manager experience preferred.
• CPA License or Certificate preferred.

Since we first opened on January 21, 1985, Muckleshoot Bingo has helped the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe launch a period of economic prosperity. We have grown from our humble beginnings as a small bingo tent located where our sister property Muckleshoot Casino now stands, into a state-of-the-art 55,000 square foot entertainment space, boasting two floors with over 1,000 bingo seats and over 500 of the hottest Vegas-style slot machines, and annually employ over 200 people from across the greater Auburn area.
