AUTO PARTS COUNTER PERSON

Job Description:

The Parts Counter-Person is responsible for assisting Mechanics and Service Advisors in purchasing needed parts and supplies. The Parts Counter-Person is responsible for achieving monthly sales and gross forecasts and for seeking out and soliciting parts business, answering incoming phone calls and fulfilling orders for wholesale and retail customers.

Job Duties:

• Use product knowledge and understanding of vehicle components to effectively assist customers
• Assist with daily inventory, receiving, stocking and shipping
• Assist in maintaining perpetual inventory
• Help maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of service counter, work area and stockroom

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an auto parts sales role
• Must have computer proficiency
• Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
• Ability to work evenings and Saturdays

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Sales Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Inventory Control: 1 year (Preferred)
