Remote Position - Must live in Nashville, TN Area

We are seeking detail-oriented Cash Applications Specialist to join our organization. The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for daily, accurate, and timely application of cash receipts to customer accounts.

This position plays a pivotal role in cash account reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. Through meticulous attention to detail and effective teamwork, the individual contributes to the smooth functioning and overall financial health of the agency.

Main Responsibilities:
- Cash Applications: Focuses on pulling up check images, searching the database to match to the correct customer account, and applying cash payments accurately. Utilizes specialized software for efficient processing and contributes to optimizing cash flow.

-Reconciliation: Assists with reconciliation from the bank account to the organization's system and then to the General Ledger on Great Plains. Ensures accuracy in reconciling financial records to maintain financial integrity.

-Issue Resolution: Resolves various issues within the cash applications system. Proactively identifies and addresses discrepancies, contributing to the smooth functioning of financial processes.

-Collaboration and Communication: Works collaboratively with the finance team to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Cross trains with others on team to insure coverage for vacancies. Communicates effectively with team members and stakeholders to facilitate seamless financial operations.

Experience:

-Associate degree or equivalency

-One to two years' experience in cash application

Pay: $41,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
