The Hammond Academy of Science and Technology is seeking Math Response to Intervention (RTI) Teacher candidates for the 2024-25 School Year.

We are seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about helping students excel in mathematics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in math instruction, experience with RTI frameworks, and a commitment to fostering academic growth for all students.

The school currently enrolls approximately 550 students in grades 6-12. The Academy serves a diverse population of students. The curriculum is project-based, reflecting the complexity of the real world. Instructional technology is infused throughout daily instruction and integrated into the curriculum and instructional methodologies. Partnerships with local organizations open the learning environment to the outside world.

**Responsibilities:**

• Implementing and managing the Math Response to Intervention (RTI) program for students across various grade levels.
• Collaborating with classroom teachers to identify students in need of additional math support and developing targeted intervention plans.
• Providing small-group instruction to students who require extra assistance in math, using research-based strategies and resources.
• Monitoring student progress through ongoing assessments and data analysis to adjust intervention plans as needed.
• Communicating regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student progress and intervention strategies.
• Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in math instruction and RTI.

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Candidates must be certified teachers in the State of Indiana or hold appropriate out-of-state certificates which qualify for transfer to Indiana.
• Previous experience as a math teacher or intervention specialist.
• Knowledge of RTI frameworks and best practices in math intervention.
• Strong data analysis skills to assess student progress and inform instructional decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students effectively.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
