Family Renewal Project is Hiring a Clinical Mental Health Professional Near Louisville, KY
Good Shepherd Institute of the Bluegrass is currently seeking a passionate and qualified mental health professional to join our team in Louisville. As a clinician with GSIB, you will play a crucial role in providing professional services rooted in Catholic principles to support individuals and families in their journey towards mental and emotional well-being. Responsibilities - Conduct individual, couples, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques. - Integrate Catholic teachings, particularly those rooted in St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body, into counseling sessions to address spiritual and emotional needs. - Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards. - Stay informed about current trends and research in counseling, mental health, and Catholic teachings. - Engage in community outreach and build professional and pastoral relationships in the Louisville community and the Archdiocese of Louisville - Give public presentations on mental health topics to various audiences in the area (preferred but not required) Qualifications - Master's degree (or higher) in a mental health field and experience in integrating scientifically validated mental health care with a Catholic understanding of the person and health. - Licensed or license-eligible through the governing Kentucky Board of licensed mental health professionals. - Extensive knowledge of and formation in Catholic anthropology, morality, and spirituality consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. - Deep familiarity with Theology of the Body and the thought of Pope St. John Paul II preferred. - Proven clinical skills with a wide range of patient populations. Training and experience in (at least some of the following, the more the better): - Marital therapy (Emotionally Focused Therapy preferred) - Adult therapy with addictions (especially behavioral addictions such as sexuality) - Adult therapy with trauma survivors (e.g., integrative approaches to complex PTSD) - Child therapy (e.g., play therapy, parent training, etc.) - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Benefits The salary range for the role is $60,000 - $70,000 based on experience and degree.
