Frederick Fox is Hiring a Financial Operations Director Near Miami, FL
Our client in Miami, FL is seeking a driven individual to join their team as a Controller. This is a full-time, permanent position based on-site in Miami, offering a competitive salary of up to $220k dependent on experience.
Responsibilities
- Define the future operating infrastructure, implement new systems, and drive scalability
- Evaluate current processes and controls, suggesting solutions to enhance efficiency and strengthen the control environment
- Manage the financial records of subsidiaries, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Efficiently manage cash flow to uphold adequate working capital levels
- Address complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, construction contracts, and expense capitalization
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations by filing sales and use tax, property tax, and other activities
- Optimize the capital structure, balancing debt and equity, exploring financing options, and engaging with banking partners
- Engage in financial planning and analysis, performing project modeling and scenario analysis as needed
- Develop annual budgets and track performance against projections
- Prepare regular financial reports for management and the Board of Directors
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- CPA certification (Tax background preferred)
- Experience in SEC reporting
- Proficiency in Excel
- Tech-savvy mindset
