We are seeking a detail-oriented graphic and web designer to join our team! This is a full-time, on-site position only. If attention to detail isn't one of your greatest strengths, please do not apply. This role is:

• 30% Graphic Design
• 50% Shopify E-commerce / SEO Work
• 20% Social Media Management

This position reports to the operations manager, and will develop graphics for various internal projects and marketing channels such as social media and our Shopify e-commerce website. Our website contains thousands of products, and each one requires a well-written product description and requires extreme attention to detail. We need someone with a very keen eye for detail so all of our products are displayed properly without any:

• duplicate content,
• technical errors,
• spelling errors,
• grammatical errors,
• punctuation errors,
• or capitalization errors in them.

The same attention to detail will be expected on all projects that this position is assigned, so you must be able to proofread the quality and accuracy of your own work.

In addition to pay, medical insurance and paid time off are offered to full-time employees after a 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Modify and update company e-commerce website in Shopify based on established procedure(s). Manage thousands of products with consistency and a fierce attention to detail(s).
• Design graphics (digital formats and print designs) for use on numerous platforms.
• Be able to write unique, keyword-rich (SEO) product descriptions without grammatical, spelling, punctuation, or capitalization errors.
• Design, write, and manage e-mail marketing campaigns using Robly.
• Manage company's social media platform(s) to promote products and the company's brand. Develop and schedule strategic posts for social media using platforms such as Hootsuite.
• Digitize existing company documents into usable PDFs using InDesign and Acrobat.
• Keep up-to-date on popular web development layouts and design trends.
• Work with the operations manager to standardize day-to-day operations and help write guidelines and procedures.
• Work 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday with one hour allotted for lunch each day. No overtime.

Qualifications

• Must provide either a PDF or a link to a design portfolio that shows your skill in commercial design (logos, print designs, web design/e-commerce projects, video projects, e-mail marketing campaigns, and copywriting samples).
• Be organized with a very strong attention to detail(s).
• Be able to complete projects with creative input and feedback from supervisors.
• Copywriting experience, and highly skilled in the proper use of the English language.
• Be proactive in proofreading and double-checking your work.
• Experience designing and managing custom e-mail campaigns using platforms such as Mail Chimp or Robly.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) experience is a must.
• Some experience with SEO strategies for e-commerce and basic web design.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Be able to perform your work on a PC. We do not use Macs on our network.

Extras

• Experience in Wordpress’ WooCommerce or Shopify is a plus.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools is a plus.
• Experience and/or licensed with Google AdWords is a plus.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java, and other programming languages is a plus, but not needed for this position.
• Experience with shooting video and post-production in Adobe Premiere or Final Cut is a plus.

Education

We require at least a high school equivalent education level. A college education is great but not required for this position. Maturity, proven creative talent, attention to detail, and a portfolio that supports both is more valuable to us for whoever fills this position.
