Hottmann Construction is Hiring an A/R Billing Specialist Near Dane, WI

We are seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative AR/Billing Specialist to join our team. This position will work closely with internal estimators to timely and accurately process customer invoicing and record job information.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate and send invoices, allocate payments, and communicate with customers to expedite receipt of past-due payments
  • Record job information and costs
  • Manage lien notices and waivers
  • Prepare job performance and analysis reports for all departments
  • Serve as a back-up to Accounts Payable
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with administrative support or general bookkeeping
  • Strong communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening
  • Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices

ยท Proficiency in accounting software applications and Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, manage projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

PREFERRED, NOT REQUIRED:

  • Previous experience in a construction-related industry
