Job Details

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer/Database Administrator (BI Developer) plays a crucial role in delivering accurate and timely business intelligence solutions to our internal partners. This position requires expertise in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise reports using PowerBI, HTML, or other visualization platforms. The candidate must possess strong analytical, technical, and communication skills to collaborate effectively across various stakeholders, including clinical partners and IT colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with end users to understand business needs and define report requirements.
  • Understand data and end-user workflows to ensure accurate results and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Build data ETL processes for efficient reporting.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, data marts, and extracts for end users.
  • Train end users on report and BI reporting software usage.
  • Monitor report performance and collaborate with stakeholders to improve metrics.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts to reduce manual efforts.
  • Document the development of analyses, dashboards, reports, and processes.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate quality assurance policies.
  • Implement solutions to ingest external data into the data warehouse.
  • Design and document functional requirements and technical specifications.
  • Validate system reports and identify advanced reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, finance, and operational management teams.
  • Document key decisions and issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Advanced understanding of SQL, SP creation/modification, data marts, and ETL processes.
  • 5-7 years of healthcare reporting and analysis experience.
  • 5 years of experience in ETL process development and maintenance.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Analysis.
  • Strong healthcare financial reporting experience
  • Experience with NextGen EMR and associated tables.
  • Healthcare informatics experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools such as PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and VisualStudio
