Overview We are looking for a Senior Vice President to join the rapidly growing Debt Asset Management Team at Bellwether. The ideal candidate understands the importance of engaging and empowering a team of highly talented technical and professional analysts and associates and effectively communication as a Client lead. They are also a savvy problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and consistently exceeds expectations. We are seeking an agile team player who enjoys working cross-functionally with different parts of the organization. An ideal candidate will have held similar positions in debt asset management across all asset classes. Successful candidates for this position will have had at least seven years of relevant professional experience.
Responsibilities - Establish and cultivate best asset management practices for the oversight of a portfolio of debt investments across all property types (office, industrial, hotel, retail, multifamily & residential), corporate debt and various securitized products;
- Act as an owner of process improvements to lead change and mentor an analytics team;
- Proactively strengthen relationships internally and externally with Clients, Sponsors and Brokers, working with leading members of the Bellwether management team;
- Build and enhance asset management tools to identify risks to the portfolio and lead efforts to mitigate such risks with consistent, fact-based decision recommendations;
- Monitor asset financial performance and provide key diagnosis and strategic recommendations on areas of challenge and opportunity with a thorough understanding of all factors affecting capital markets and collateral submarkets;
- Lead various due diligence and underwriting functions as required by Clients;
- Review and evolve quarterly Client deliverables.
Qualifications - Minimum 7 years of real estate debt experience, including development and analysis of real estate-based financial models;
- A bachelor's degree is required;
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ARGUS;
- Prior experience in credit underwriting, loan modifications / workouts with a strong analytical framework;
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas, both written and verbally;
- Attention to detail with superior organizational skills;
- Experience hiring and managing a growing team of analysts and associates;
- Proven ability to multi-task and understand new concepts quickly;
- Desire to work as part of a small, highly entrepreneurial team.

$160,000 - $160,000 a year
Base Salary $160,000, plus discretionary bonus
