SUMMARY

Are you a detail-orientated person with a passion for quality assurance looking for a part-time position in a manufacturing environment? R. Sabee Company, LLC is searching for a seasonal Quality Control Technician to join the team!

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for collecting products from various production lines and labeling and analyzing samples. The Quality control Tech will use various forms of mechanical, visual, physical, and electronic testing to ensure specifications of each product are met per client and company standards. This individual is expected to communicate, verbally and in written, any relevant quality information to the appropriate personnel. Our ideal candidate will be able to work effectively and efficiently on multiple projects with minimal supervision and must be a self-starter who displays integrity and willingness to comply with all ethical standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform laboratory testing for products to standard operating procedures (SOPs) ensuring document conformity and compliancy
• Identify any product imperfections using chemical analysis or mechanical or electronic equipment
• Conducting testing under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of quality
• Record and compile all test results and report all product inconsistencies or variations accurately
• Communicate relevant information regarding test results to correct personnel
• Ensure quality testing at all times and carry out inspections to meet the standard set by the company
• Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, finished goods, or samples

• Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release
• Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment
• Ensure that lab cleanliness and safety standards are maintained. Notify your area supervisor of anything needing repair or replacement
• Perform visual inspections of finished products

SAFETY

• Always wear personal protection equipment (PPE) including safety eyewear, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, and gloves (when necessary)
• Report all safety concerns and/or accidents to the supervisor or first aid representative, immediately
• Maintain a safe work environment by following the lab’s safety standards and SOPs

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 14 years of age (Minors between the ages of 14-16 years, must provide a work permit)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
• Able to lift items of 25 pounds
• Written and Oral Comprehension — The ability to read, listen to, and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
• Attention to Detail
• Adaptability/Flexibility — being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace
• Analytical Thinking — analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
