Jezic & Moyse, LLC, a multi-practice 21-attorney firm, is seeking a criminal defense paralegal to join its growing team in Silver Spring, Maryland. The firm’s criminal defense practice focuses on helping individuals navigate through the criminal justice system, preparing their legal defense, and ensuring their rights are protected throughout the process.

The firm seeks a committed advocate who will enhance our team’s ability to provide zealous, empathetic, and top-notch legal services to our clients.

The paralegal will be responsible for providing administrative and legal support to the firm’s criminal defense attorneys.

These duties include maintaining direct client communication; pursuing legal research; preparing for trial; maintaining case files; and drafting complaints, motions, or briefs in criminal proceedings, among other tasks.

The successful candidate, among other things, will:

• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills (Spanish language skills are required)

• Grasp substantive knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and practices
• Have a positive and collaborative approach to working with clients, colleagues, and organizational partners from diverse backgrounds and disciplines
• Have a demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision

• Have an appreciation for teamwork

• Be able to maintain client confidentiality; and

• Have strong organization skills and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
