At Winona Powder Coating, our employees are our greatest asset. We are looking for a full-time E-Coat Technical Director to join our team at our plant in Etna Green, Indiana. General Summary:

Responsible for direction of e-coat production line to meet company and customer expectations. Involves managing workforce to meet or exceed production demands within expected timeframes. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Director has the responsibility and authority to control quality.

Responsibilities and Authority:

• Ensure all functions of e-coat production line run smoothly and safely, including pre-treatment, operation, troubleshooting technical and chemical issues, racking, and conveyor systems
• Set line speed and oven temperatures per job requirements
• Supervise and train all e-coat employees, complete probationary and annual performance reviews, and ensure adherence to standard work instructions, policies, and procedures including use of personal protective equipment
• Communicate and collaborate with other department personnel on continuous improvement for safety, quality, and production
• Add chemicals as necessary based upon Titration readings/record
• Monitor quality control checks/log for certification requirements and customer expectations
• Monitor and ensure packing completed per customer specifications
• Manage inventory of job materials and customer parts
• Produce daily reports
• Lead rework process as necessary
• Operation of fork truck
• Maintain acceptable housekeeping in areas of responsibility

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the principal duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Knowledge of e-coat production, including chemical and wastewater procedures
• Knowledge of process and troubleshooting techniques to resolve e-coat quality and performance issues
• Must be able to operate measuring devices (i.e., tape measure)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education / Experience Requirements:

• Several years of e-coat production line supervision, quality control, and safety preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent computer skills with special emphasis on Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, twist, and bend repeatedly during the entire production shift.
• Additional physical demands include reaching and occasionally being able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Occasional overtime may be required.
