SafeBase is Hiring a Remote People and Culture Lead

People & Culture Lead

The People & Culture Lead is responsible for leading and implementing people, culture, and talent strategies, programs, and practices across SafeBase in order to cultivate an inclusive, high-performance culture. This role focuses on enhancing employee engagement, promoting learning and development, and ensuring compliant and timely people operations practices. The People & Culture Lead serves as a strategic partner to leadership and a mentor to employees, fostering a workplace environment that supports SafeBase’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage a P&C portfolio of cross-functional projects, programs, ideas, and initiatives that improve the employee experience and support overall business success
  • Develop, implement, and lead learning programs (onboarding, L&D) that enhance employee ramp up, satisfaction and long-term retention 
  • Be responsible for the execution of cyclical HR processes (employee relations, performance reviews, compensation reviews, talent reviews) and provide appropriate consultation to leaders
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring they are integrated into all aspects of HR practices.
  • Provide guidance on performance feedback, coaching, and development opportunities, serving as a coach to managers and employees.
  • Champion our culture by promoting SafeBase’s values and core behaviors to guide decision-making and drive thoughtful change management in a fast-paced environment
  • Review and analyze business data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee happiness, performance, retention, and overall experience
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for employee relations, leave, or people policy issues, ensuring they are resolved in a timely and fair manner.
  • Oversee HR systems, data management, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
  • 5 years of HR experience in fast-paced startup or tech environments
  • Ultimate team player with strong people skills, able to interact with employees of all levels from entry to executive. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, compliance issues, and industry best practices.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • You're self-motivated, able to work independently as well as in partnership with department heads and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
