Seismic Therapeutic, a biotechnology startup focused on the intersection of structure, protein engineering, machine learning and immunology, is seeking an exceptional and enthusiastic Scientist to help drive novel immunotherapy programs. The successful candidate will contribute to Seismic’s mission to develop novel immunotherapies and create an IMPACT on diseases of the adaptive immune system by expressing, purifying, and characterizing therapeutic molecules.

Responsibilities:

• Express and purify therapeutic molecules across multiple scales in various systems.
• Characterize molecules using a variety of analytical techniques to assess purity, stability, and other biochemical and biophysical properties.
• Develop and execute high-throughput assays to assess the feasibility of early therapeutic candidates. 
• Collaborate and communicate in a matrixed environment.
• Detailed documentation, analysis, and interpretation of experiments.

Required Qualifications:

• PhD in biochemistry/biophysics, biological/chemical engineering, or a related discipline with 0-2 years experience
• Experience in protein expression, purification using a variety of techniques (affinity, SEC, IEX, mixed-mode, etc.), and analytical characterization.
• Experience in diverse biochemical and biophysical techniques such as DSF, DLS, IEF is a plus.
• Experience working with bispecific and non-traditional antibody formats is a plus.
