Lead Registered Vascular Technologist
We are seeking a Lead Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) to join our dynamic team at our IAC accredited Vascular Lab and Vein Center. Our practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease, offering a comprehensive range of vascular testing services.
Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day operations of the ultrasound division
Coordinate patient scheduling and ensure operational efficiency
Cultivate a positive workplace environment
Serve as clinical resource for sonographers
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of ultrasound studies
Collaborate with the office manager on operational matters
Maintain IAC accreditation and suggest improvements in policies and procedures
Ensure compliance of technical staff with IAC standards
Support staff training and educational development
Oversee equipment maintenance, upgrades, storage of ultrasound images, and EMR integration
Provide a welcoming environment for patients and prepare them for ultrasound studies
Assist in data collection for research activities
Uphold patient safety and comfort at all times
Perform and document vascular studies
Ensure all vascular studies performed are of optimum quality and provide a positive patient experience
Accurately code vascular studies
Collaborate with the billing department on coding and reimbursement matters
Travel to satellite offices, with travel reimbursement.
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to regulatory guidelines (IAC, HIPAA, OSHA)
Oversee the maintenance of RVT certification of the staff
Skills:
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent vascular testing skills including venous, carotid, and arterial studies.
Polite, professional, and upbeat attitude when dealing with patients and co-workers.
Excellent patient interaction skills
Careful attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and be able to multi-task seamlessly.
Minimum 4 years of vascular testing with progressively responsible experience in leading department. Experience in successful completion of IAC accreditation application preferred
