UNITED LEASING & FINANCE is Hiring an Asset Support Specialist Near Evansville, IN

PURPOSE OF JOB:

This position is responsible for departmental support functions in the liquidation of assets. Supports the Director with providing operational execution including fleet initiatives, logistics support, inventory management, asset purchasing, asset evaluations, and asset disposal services.

JOB DUTIES:


Liquidation of Assets

  • Facilitate disposition of assets within set deadlines of possession, working to minimize financial loss to the company.
  • Optimize liquidation channels for disposal of assets through retail outlets first, then national auto auctions, or other approved, asset-specific specialty sales with the goal of improving gains and reducing costs for the company.
  • Coordinate recovery of all commercial and consumer accounts as needed.
  • Provide timely asset evaluations on all commercial and consumer accounts, using market data gathered internally and externally from various sources.
  • Ensure that all asset logs are updated with all the needed information, including but not limited to equipment/ vehicle location, mileage, condition report, personal guarantors, original asset cost, net book value, principal, and current market valuations.
  • Purchase vehicles as necessary with guidance from the Director of Special Assets.
  • Work with repossession agents to ensure unsecured assets are being pursued in a timely manner, providing assistance as needed.
  • Ensure all vehicle purchases follow the Aspire software workflow, from new purchase to on-lease status.
  • Organize departmental information and information flow to internal and external customers.
  • Create, edit, recommend improvements to and update reports, including preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.

Fleet Account Management – Professional Transportation, Inc. (PTI)

  • Support the acquisition of fleet for sister company, PTI, striving to provide the best possible value to the customer while maximizing profits for the company.
  • Execute management strategy for the absolute best national buying sources for purchasing assets at the best prices.


Logistics

  • Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of the company’s fleet, transportation, and auction management logistics systems (AutoIMS) and reporting utilization.
  • Provide reporting to track disposal, auction sales results, historical sales data, and other reports as needed.
  • Facilitate the creation and updating of departmental policy and procedures (P&P’s).

Quality / Continuous Improvement / Training

  • Ensure cross-training with departmental staff.
  • Personally commit to quality in all aspects of work.
  • Provide World Class Customer Service for both internal and external customers.
  • Communicate and exemplify the Company’s Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Values and Philosophy.
  • Participate in and promote the established Quality Improvement Process (QIP) and Six Sigma concepts for continuous improvement.
  • Participate on teams to research, measure and correct problems and to strive for process improvement.
  • Attend at least ten (10) hours of training annually to continue development of work-related skills.


General

  • Ensure prompt and regular attendance.
  • Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by Management.
  • Travel as business needs may require.

Education:

  • High school diploma/equivalent is minimally required.
  • College degree is strongly preferred.


Experience:

  • 5 years of prior relevant work experience is preferred.
